History

By 3132, it was clear the Blackout would continue for some time. Khan Jana Pryde ordered Merchant Factor Marena to find a solution. Marena oversaw the conversion of six Mule-class DropShips to VaultShips, designed to carry gold, precious metals, and other liquid assets, and also to keep the Kerensky registries updated, preventing the collapse of the Clan currency. Each VaultShip was carried by a JumpShip equipped with a Lithium-Fusion Battery, and escorted by either a Noruff or Titan Monitor, plus a Trinary of troops in another DropShip.[1]

Until 3151 all VaultShips travelled along the Clan Occupation Zones and Wolf Empire, keeping trading alive and facilitating business... until Chinggis Khan Malvina Hazen ordered Marena to call them all back to Sudeten to finance the Clan's Battle of Terra, but Marena ignored her, creating excuses, so Hazen had to depart without her money.[2]

After the chaos erupted in the former Jade Falcon Occupation Zone, Marena decided to create her own state, the Alyina Mercantile League, calling all VaultShips to Alyina. Clan Hell's Horses and Clan Wolf attacked Delta and Beta but failed to take them. All obeyed her and reported to Alyina except Gamma, which returned to Sudeten. Its merchants joined Jiyi Chistu, who was proclaimed Khan and founded his own Clan of Jade Falcons. Later, most VaultShips continued providing their services in the friendly Occupation Zones.[3]
