Major General Chinatsu Cherekov was the commander of the Star League Defense Force's XLIV Corps as of 2764.[1]

Heading a Division assigned to the political sensitive Draconis Combine capital of Luthien, Cherekov was comfortable with Kuritan cultural and political etiquette, and spend much time at the Imperial Palace. Balancing the need for good relations and to challenge anti-League sentiment, Cherekov was willing to push back against aggressiveness by the Coordinator, but also arranged joint training and counter-terrorism operations with her Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery counterparts.[1]
