The BattleTech Clan Codex Dog Tag was created by Catalyst Game Labs as a reward item available during their crowdfunding effort for the BattleTech: Clan Invasion Kickstarter Campaign which ran from July 18, 2019 to August 18, 2019. The Dog Tag was the US$180,000 stretch reward, and was added to the rewards for all those who pledged at the Bloodnamed/US$150 pledge level. In addition, Dog Tags could be purchased by campaign backers as an add-on item for US$15 each.
The Dog Tag is approximately 3mm thick and came complete with a chain; the front side of the tag depicts a Kerensky star overlaid on the image of a DNA strand.
