Recoil Compensators
(Redirected from Recoil compensators)
Overview[edit]
Recoil Compensators is a catch-all term referring to a variety of methods used to counteract the recoil generated by slug-throwing weapons firing streams of projectiles at high speed. The most common of these methods is a gas-venting system which vents gas in the weapon's barrel at a specific vector to counteract barrel climb. Weapons which incorporate recoil compensation are more expensive and weigh ten percent more compared to their standard versions. Support weapons can benefit from a Gyroscopic Harness mount to counteract recoil.[1]
