History[edit]

Alard King started serving as a MechTech with Legion after the Verthandi Campaign in 3025. Much to his surprise, he was quickly promoted to become Lieutenant and in charge of the Support Company.[2]

At Helm and with all the tribulations they were suffering, King confessed to Carlyle that he was working for Duke Hassid Ricol as a spy.[3] He managed to gain audience with the Duke, who didn't believe that Carlyle was capable of causing a massacre of civilians. With the Duke's assistance, the Legion defeated the conspiracy and salvaged some of the cache.

After the betrayal at Helm, Alard King continued to work for the Legion. No reason has been given, however at least one of his family members also serves with him. Perhaps in this case, better the spy you know, rather than the one you don't.
