Bounty Hunter

A mysterious figure who appeared in the late 2900s, and wears a unique PA(L) (Power Armor - Light) suit. He/she initially only took contracts on notorious criminals, who were more often than not brought back dead. Always a MechWarrior, he/she usually pilots a Marauder which was originally Natasha Kerensky's. Further, Natasha's signature Warhammer is said to be the Bounty Hunter's original 'Mech. More recently he has a Marauder II and a Mad Cat. His 'Mechs are always painted a bright green with currency symbols painted on it. His/her mech is a feared sight on the battlefield. He/she has been active for close to a century leading to speculation that the Bounty Hunter PA(L) suit, 'Mech, and mythos are passed from parent to child or from person to person via the death of the former.

The "Bounty Hunter" legend was the topic of a "A-Team" style vid show. This led to greater fame for the legendary character.

Outside of the fiction, the evolution of the character has become a controversial one. Originally a mercenary MechWarrior/Gun-for-hire, the Bounty Hunter has been inevitably compared to Boba Fett of Star Wars and also the Dread Pirate Roberts. The introduction of powered body armor(PA) and the proliferation of this technology, leading to the Bounty Hunter's ownership of a PA(L) suit, has inadvertently served to reinforce the Boba/Jango Fett possibility among a number of fans.
