History
Though not a graduate of the Gunslinger program, Caine Barclay was the 41st Assault Battalion duelist. Piloting a customized Exterminator and surprising his opponents who were unused to the strange way he used the 'Mech and prompting them to action, that he counted with a burst of his MASC and accurate and sustained fire thanks to his insulators.
In a quick string of victories Caine gathered a record of ten wins and no losses and his CO recommended him for the Gunslinger program which he refused.
In his last duel, his opponent was ready for his tactics and and his Exterminator failed him. In the first exchange of fire in the duel, three of his insulators failed and exploded, and the ronin's short-range missile barrages depleted his anti-missile system. He was dead three minutes later and his Exterminator destroyed.[1]
