History

After the disbandment of the Kossandra's Volunteers by the Star League after the Reunification War, and despite being disbanded as a military formation the Volunteers persisted as a semi-secret society, and when the various Periphery nations began rebuilding their militaries openly after the New Vandenberg Uprising the Volunteers were reborn as Cassandra's Volunteers.[1]

The unit successfully repulsed the first attack on New Abilene that took place in 2892.[2]

By 3025, Clayborne's Commandos, part of Cassandra's Volunteers, was assigned as the defending garrison of Thraxa, given that the Commandos were one of the more experienced units within the Cassandra's Volunteers formation and had seen a greater share of victories against Marian Hegemony forces and upstart mercenaries than most other combat units within the Magistracy.[3]
