History
Deidre's Destroyers were one of several mercenary units in a "large contingent" of mercenaries contracted by the Federated Suns to raid Spica in 2970; other named mercenary units in the action include Brighton's Irregulars and Gunther's Grenadiers. The mercenaries were surprised and all but destroyed by the Capellan Confederation's Red Lancers together with the Prefectorate Guard, netting the defending Capellan forces sixteen salvaged 'Mechs of all types.[1]
