Description
The Goshawk II is a Medium BattleMech built by Clan Snow Raven in mid-3080s. The 'Mech is based on the heavier, Vapor Eagle (also known as the Goshawk), it is produced on Inner Sphere world of Dante. The Goshawk II is intended as second-line BattleMech for use exclusively by the Ravens.
The Goshawk has been designed to deal with new threats from Inner Sphere's improved electronics. The 'Mech has been fitted with a ECM Suite help cut down an opponent's advantages. The 'Mech hull is protected by 9 ton of Raven Comp A Standard Armor.[2]
Armament
The Goshawk II's only range weapon is its Series 6b Extended Range Large Laser, which mounted in the right arm. Bulk of ;Mech weaponry is intended for close-in combat, where it may employ its pair of Small Pulse and sextuplet of Micro Pulse Lasers. The weaponry is guided by a Targeting Computer, which allows the 'Mech to snipe at range. The weapons and other equipment heat are managed by the 'Mech's 20 Double Heat Sinks.[3]
Variants
- Goshawk II 2 - This variant of the Goshawk II is intended for use space. The design has its Micro Pulse Lasers and ECM Suite removed and its Small Pulse Lasers upgraded to Medium Pulse Lasers. Its cockpit armor protection is enhanced for better protection in space. BV(2.0)=????[4]
