Hermann Ritter is a German science fiction and fantasy author who contributed numerous articles and stories to several publications, including several works in the Perry Rhodan series. He coauthored one BattleTech novel, Früchte voll Bitterkeit (with Erik Schreiber).
He is the great-grandson of German author Hermann Ritter (1864-1925) and the son of German politician Karl Hermann Ritter (1931-2006). (There appear to be several other people of historical significance with the name Hermann Ritter.)
