History
Nothing is known of Jared Cavanaugh in his early years. He was the commanding officer of Cavanaugh's Cavalry in 3063 when the Marian Hegemony attacked the Illyrian Palatinate. The mercenary unit decided to switch sides instead of dying defending the Palatinate and for their actions the Marian Hegemony gave all the Cavanaugh's Cavalry soldiers command positions in the newly created VI Legio, with Jared Cavanaugh made prefect of VI Legio.
Prefect Jared Cavanaugh has been described as a cavalier and selfish man who still holds to the mercenary attitude that "what's mine is mine, and what's theirs is mine". He has taken every opportunity to enrich himself at the expense of others, even allegedly selling assets from the former Arms of Thor on the black market in order to line his own pockets. If this can ever be confirmed by Ordo Vigilis or the Marian Hegemony Armed Forces, his days as prefect and free man are numbered.[1]
