The reKhan position was created by Khan Enrico Kirov and reassigned retired Galaxy Commander there as they reached middle age rather than consigning them to solahma units.[1] With their leadership experience preserved and acting as advisors to Khan, they serves as the planetary governors of the each of the Empire’s planets. They are also the ones from which the Khan of the Empire nominates candidates from among their number to become ZarKhan with the Clan Council voting on the candidates in question.[2]
