Tamara's Black Sword was a mercenary unit working for the Federated Suns. In 2846 they attacked the Capellan Confederation world of Carver V aiming for stored munitions, but were repelled by Blandford's Grenadiers of the Capellan Hussars. It was noted that the Black Sword was more maneuverable than the defenders, which allowed them to destroy half of the defenders' armor battalion.[1]
