Admiral Taro Marrkgrae was the commanding officer of the Star League Defense Force Fifth Fleet from 2759 to at least 2764.[1]

History
Early Career
Born on Nirasaki in the Terran Hegemony, Marrkgrae attended the Fleet School of Keid, before spending most of his early career in the First Fleet and the Second Fleet.[1]
42nd Escort Squadron
He later rose to command the 42nd Escort Squadron within the Fourth Fleet, with whom he showed an uncanny ability to have his unit appear right when they were most needed, allowing them to thwart 84 bandit raids over a 6 year period.[1]
Fifth Fleet
Being assigned command on the Fifth Fleet on the back of his success in 2759, Marrkgrae made the SLS Duke of York his flagship.[1]
