William Erik Peterson was the commanding officer of the Eridani Light Horse Brigade between 3039 and 3045.[1]

Prior to taking over command of the Eridani Light Horse as Brevet General, the then Colonel Peterson was promoted to command the Seventy-first Light Horse Regiment in 3012.
While off-duty, Peterson was known to play a mean trumpet, which he did as part of a jazz quartet.[2]

Peterson was known to pilot an Atlas BattleMech.[3]
