Allison won a Rand bloodname and reached the rank of Star Captain, leading the 96th Battle Trinary of the Fourteenth Battle Cluster, becoming the Star Colonel Emilio Hall's second-in-command, stationed on Quarell. On 10 July 3151 Rand talked with her superior about the Dominion's joining into the new Star League and this sowed the seeds of conflict between the two warriors, as Rand was a joiner and Hall was a refuser.[1]
Later, she assisted Hall with a series of cross-sibko field exercises. When a group of Clan Jade Falcons led by Jiyi Chistu arrived, she opposed the idea of allowing him to launch a Trial of Possession for the cadets, but Hall ignored her advice. She led her Trinary in the Trial, but in the end, the Falcons won the trial of possession for the cadets.[2]
On 8 November 3151, as the cadets were being delivered to the Jade Falcons, Allison demanded to speak with Hall in private. When she was informed by him about Alaric Ward rejecting the Dominion's referendum to join the League, she was devastated and enraged. Allison attempted to convince him to go back on his decision, void the outcome of the trial, and reclaim the lost sibkos. Hall refused, and when he turned his back to her, she shot him, killing him . Convincing herself that what she had done what was done out of necessity, she mobilized her Trinary, ordering an all-out assault against the Falcon's DropShip. Obsessed with saving the cubs, she ordered an all-out attack, even deciding to kill the young ones if they could not be recovered. However, the suicide holding action of the Falcon's solahma Star, gave the Jade Falcon dropship the necessary time to escape with the newly claimed sibkos. Chistu attempted to contact Hall, but only Rand answered him, informing the Khan about Emilio's death.[3][4]
No doubt exacerbated by Rand's murder of Hall, on 21 November 3151, Quarell was divided between Joiners and Deniers, and the Cluster soon was as well. Allison, alone, led her 'Mech to the residence of the planet's Prime Minister, to force her at gunpoint to join the Star League. However, Rand found her way blocked by Star Captain Ahmed, of the Cluster, defending the residence and civilian government. She refused to stand down and charged Ahmed's Kodiak.[5]
