The Contract Operations Group was a support organization within the larger mercenary unit Wolf's Dragoons.[1]
While details on the Group are sparse, the Group appears to have operated as the contact between the mercenary unit and military contractors in the Inner Sphere. These lines of communications allowed the unit to order necessary equipment and supplies from outside the unit's current inventory.[1]

In 3007, Major Sean Rutherford was the head of the Contract Operation Group. It was he who contacted the Blackwell Corporation that same year to negotiate the contract for the production of the Bandit Hovercraft.[1]
