The FWLS Dyson was a Pinto-class WarShip within the Free Worlds League WarShip flotilla that participated in Geralk Marik's Lyran Campaigns.
History[edit]
Both the FWLS Dyson and its sister ship the FWLS Irbid participated in the Loric assault. When Lyran Commonwealth BattleMechs appeared for the first time, Captain-General Geralk Marik called for their fire support to stop them as his conventional forces were unable to. Both Pintos rained light naval autocannon fire on the Lyran 'Mechs, until they came too close to Geralk's forces. Both Corvette captains refused to fire when the two forces became entangled, ignoring the screaming demands of the Bloodthirsty Giant. In end, the Lyran Commonwealth Mechs overran the Free Worlds League command post, where Captain-General Geralk Marik was crushed under a 'Mech's foot.[1][2]
