Rear Admiral Gerard Hastings was the commanding officer of the Star League Defense Force's Second Division, 204th Reconnaissance Squadron, Twentieth Fleet from at least 2763 to 2764.[1]

A senior officer of Twentieth Fleet during the tenure of Admiral Terrence Gerhardt, who was cashiered in 2763 for conduct unbecoming in relation to profiteering and fraud, Hastings survived the investigations and purges which followed. Despite being one of the few to be cleared of wrong-doing by Star League JAG, Hastings did not command the full confidence of Gerhardt's replacement Admiral Sebastian Groll[1] and was not in command of the 204th Reconnaissance Squadron in 2765.[2]
