HexPack: Mountains And Canyons was published by Catalyst Game Labs in 2012 as the third in a series of HexPack supplements for the 25th Anniversary Introductory Box Set. The introductory box set would have been the product to introduce new gaming mapsheets printed on thick cardboard, but as its release was delayed these mapsheets actually premiered with the first HexPack.

HexPack: Mountains and Canyons is a flexible map system aid for the BattleTech board game. Designed for use in conjunction with other preprinted mapsheets (such as those from the Introductory Box Set), the system's flexibility allows for easy modifications to existing mapsheets, increasing the enjoyment of a given scenario as players quickly change the terrain to bring new excitement to each game they play! A booklet contains two ready-to-play scenarios, which include expanded play options.
The BattleTech Introductory Box Set is suggested for use with HexPack: Mountains And Canyons.
HexPack: Mountains and Canyons contains a double-sided thick cardboard mapsheet with the Large Mountain #1 and Deep Canyon #1 maps, plus a sheet of punch-out tiles with terrain features to modify the map layout. The enclosed 16-page booklet provides additional rules (expanding on those found in the introductory box set) and two scenarios with accompanying fiction set during the Clan Invasion, plus an extra track set in 3073 for the Starterbook: Wolf and Blake scenario book.
