So far, so good. Maybe I have given the Clans too much credit. They have reacted just as the Draconis Commanders said they would. After I destroyed their facilities, they moved to secure them. All the ‘Mechs that should be scouring the planet looking for us are instead protecting the useless installations I destroyed a week ago.
November 10, 3051[edit]
It has almost begun. I have left the DropShip and am powered-down, waiting for the order to move. We brought a small recon jeep with us, filled with one of the best Draconis recon teams in the Inner Sphere. They have privately told me that the ‘Mech I am to steal is a large 100-ton monster that Clan Ghost Bear calls a “Kodiak.” It’s a vicious close-range assault ‘Mech that should be able to withstand just about any punishment. Unfortunately, it isn’t very fast. If that Draconis DropShip doesn’t get to me in time, I may have to use my alternate escape route.

David Baruki, Chu-sa of the DC Strike Force: The Ghost Bears are vainly attempting to guard all possible objectives in the area. Now, the time has come to steal the OmniMech.
Baruki: Stay away from areas you have already attacked or threatened, as they will surely be guarded. A radiation storm has bathed Last Frontier in high-energy light rays, so radar and communications will be severely limited, and enemy scouts won’t be able to report your position to Ghost Bear Command at anything but the closest ranges.
