Requiem for Three Planets

Requiem for Three Planets was a piece of classical music composed by Stanislov Kulick circa the 2200s.[1]

Overview[edit]

The Requiem was a four-movement composition for a chamber quintet of two violins, a viola, a cello, and a Chapman Stick, with possible and debated percussion in the third movement. A tribute to early space travel, the piece builds up to a fourth movement climax representing a binary sunrise. Technically and stylistically challenging, by 3136, the Requiem was widely known but rarely attempted, seen as an audacious selection.[1]

On 16 March 3136, the Coyote Bay Collective performed the Requiem on Kessel, receiving a largely negative review from Elliot Grimm.[1]
