Template talk:Unsigned

Original was Better[edit]

  • When (if?) this place really picks up, it'll be immensely easier to deal with the inevitable million-and-one unsigned comments if you can check an editors contributions or get to their talk page in an instant. Besides, the revised version entails more typing. --Xoid 02:34, 15 November 2006 (CST)
I'm 99% sure you're right. I probably made that change simply because I had no idea how to use the tags/templates/things in brackets. In fact, please review this and see if it will work here as it was originally. If it does, please revert it. I'd like to use it as it was intended. (Also, a little lesson on how to properly employ it, in the Help:Tags section would be critical.) --Revanche (admin) 13:36, 15 November 2006 (CST)

Utter failure. Xoid, can you please take a look at this and see if you can get it to work. I have an unsigned comment on my Talk page that it can be tested on (near the bottom). Thanks! --Revanche (admin) 13:49, 15 November 2006 (CST)
Done, take a look. I normally include examples when making templates, but I was lazy with the tl and tlp ones. If there aren't any already, I'll add them while writing one up for {{unsigned}}. --Xoid 02:29, 16 November 2006 (CST)
Thanks for clearing that up (and writing the Help:Commonly used templates entry. That makes more sense. --Revanche (admin) 09:23, 16 November 2006 (CST)
