Colonel Valerie Katsakov was the Ib (operations officer) of the Star League Defense Force's 233rd Mechanized Infantry Division as of 2764.[1]

Katsakov was credited with helping make the 233rd Mechanized Infantry Division LXVII Corps’ premier garrison division, cycling through different garrison postings to help train SLDF Reserve formations and conducting war games.
The skill of Katsakov and her staff in assessing defensive terrain and the likely routes of attackers was legendary, being able to predict the route of advance of attackers in exercises with more than 85% accuracy.[1]
