William Knutson was an armor commander with the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns until the War of 3039.[1]

William Knutson was a veteran commander of Striker light tanks, with extensive experience in maintaining and repairing their problematic Wunderland XXI-3 series electronics suites.
His crew was one of the first to receive a Striker with Helm Memory Core inspired upgraded electronics in 3037, and the first to realize the newer package could be repaired on the fly while in combat from within the tank. Knutson went to on publish a manual of repair and maintenance tricks for the revised Striker for new crews to study.
He did not survive the War of 3039 however, dying during the first wave actions on Sadalbari.[1]
Vehicle[edit]
William Knutson was known to have piloted a number of Striker light tanks, including a final one nicknamed "Young Betsey," which was destroyed when Knutson died on Sadalbari in 3039.[1]
