Hauptmann Rüdiger Steiner was the commanding officer of a unit called the "Lyran Irregulars" operating within the Lyran Alliance during the Word of Blake Jihad.[2] He piloted an AS7-K2 Atlas when he led the unit to rescue his sister, Grand Duchess Claudia Steiner, from kidnappers.[1]
