Star League Era
The Thirteenth Avalon Hussars was one of the more specialised regiments within the Avalon Hussars during the Star League era. Unusually for a primarily BattleMech formation, the Thirteenth specialised in underwater combat, and many of the troops of the Thirteenth had gone so far as to field-modify their rides to mount more energy weapons as a consequence.[1]

- - At this point in time the Thirteenth was stationed on Xhosa VII.[2] The specialized nature of the Thirteenth had resulted in the command group maintaining an additional company of Archers equipped with torpedoes.[1]
