The 15th Sword of Light was a House Kurita BattleMech regiment which known to operate during the Succession Wars era.
History
Third Succession War and its Destruction
In 2899, Draconis Combine dispatched the 15th among other forces to attack the House Davion world of Quentin. Unknown to the task force, Draconis Combine's Intelligence agency had failed to realize that planet had air base which had modest force of heavy Aerospace Fighters. When the regiment's ships began their descent into the atmosphere, ten Davion Stuka Heavy Fighters assaulted their DropShips from orbit. Trapped on aboard their ships, the 15th was effectively destroyed in their orbital descent along with their ships. Only so few survivors of the regiment escaping the effective ambush, DCMS effectively deactived the 15th due to lack of manpower.[1][2][3]
