Unit Description
The unit was created as response to heavy raiding from Capellan Confederation. When the unit was first formed, it was pattered after the 1st Aragon Borderers. As a combined-arms regiment, with its third battalion consisting of mix Infantry & Armored units.[1] The unit formation was to provide military formations strong enough to withstand heavy raiding from the House Liao.
History
Late Succession Wars
In 3024, the unit had proven itselves against various Capellan Warrior House units attacking Kittery.
The Borderers was responsible to handling 'Mechs to the newly formed 1st Kittery Training Battalion in 3026. The unit at the time did not have good impression on non-academy graduates receiving MechWarrior training.[2]
Jihad
In Late 3068, the Word of Blake's 13th Division assaulted the Kittery. The 1st Kittery, was shattered by the fighting along with the Kittery Training Battalion. Survivors of the units were rounded up put in reeducation camps.[3]
