Star League Era[edit]
During the Star League era the Twenty-second Galedon Regulars shared a common structure with the other regiments of the Galedon Regulars, due to the threat posed by the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns. This common structure saw the Twenty-second assigned a group of conventional regiments for support - five armor regiments and five infantry regiments, an artillery regiment and a reinforced aerospace fighter wing. Second only to the Sword of Light regiments in priority, the various Galedon Regulars regiments had excellent levels of supplies, and a high level of access to new BattleMechs and equipment.[1]
Succession Wars era and Destruction[edit]
During the First Succession War the Twenty-second Galedon Regulars participated in the Combine invasion of the Federated Suns in 2787. Though they had been reduced to just above one-third of their full strength, the Twenty-second survived the horrors of the First Succession War and were posted on Bryceland at the end of the war.[2]
Rebuilt almost to full strength, the Twenty-second Galedon Regulars remained stationed on Bryceland when the Second Succession War broke out in 2830. Unfortunately the Twenty-second Galedon Regulars would be destroyed in that brutal conflict, with its homeworld of Bryceland falling to the AFFS in 2842.[3]

Due to the high number of Sun Zhang Military Academy and Galedon Military Academy recruits within the Galedon Regulars, the Regulars often displayed fanatical loyalty and courage. However, the elitism displayed by these same recruits led to poor coordination between the Regulars and the attached convention forces, who were often used as cannon fodder.[1]
