The Second St. Ives Cheveau-Légers is a BattleMech regiment of the Capellan Confederation Armed Forces.

History[edit]

The Second was formed by the Capellan Strategios at some point in the mid-thirty-second century. As one of the "Hidden Lion" regiments, it was raised with equipment secretly stockpiled in defiance of Devlin Stone's Military Materiel Redemption Program.[1]

Fielding mostly light BattleMechs, the Second provided reconnaissance support during Operation CELESTIAL REWARD as the CCAF pushed towards New Syrtis. Subsequently based on Haappajarvi, the regiment seconded many of its scouts to other CCAF regiments in the region.[1]

In November 3147, as the Federated Suns carried out Operation CERBERUS against the New Syrtis salient, the Second took part in the defense of Narellan alongside Warrior House Imarra. Against the superior numbers of Task Force Hydra, the Second put up a credible fight alongside Imarra before retreating off-world.[2]
