History
Formation
The 44th Dieron Regulars were formed around two battalions detached from the 12th Dieron Regulars. These units were divided up by weight class, with the first battalion composed of mostly assault 'Mechs and the second and third battalion mostly light 'Mechs.[1]
Dominion War
The 44th Dieron Regulars faced the 8th Bear Cuirassiers on Najha and were utterly destroyed.[2]

In 3059 the commander of the 44th Dieron Regulars was Tai-sa Brian Quick.[1]

- The first battalion are the assault force with many assault supported by lighter machines, the 2nd and 3rd Battalion fielding only light machines which are supported by the a few heavies.
