Overview
The Fifty-fifth Infantry Division was a part of the Star League Defense Force Regular Army.
History
Prior to the fall of the Star League, the Fifty-fifth was known for the large percentage of its personnel having bionic implants.[1]
In 2764, the unit was assigned, as a part of the XVIII Corps, Seventeenth Army, to the Periphery Military Region, but was moved to an undisclosed area of the Periphery by 2765, as part of the redeployment effort to fight the Periphery Uprising.[2] The Division was destroyed during the Hegemony Campaign.[2]
Composition
As an SLDF Infantry division the Fifty-fifth would have been formed from two brigades of grunt infantry and a brigade of light BattleMech regiments.[3]
