The Ninth Sun Zhang Academy Cadre is one of the Sun Zhang MechWarrior Academy's prestigious cadre units. Cadets assigned to the unit are put to the ultimate test by seeing real combat.

History
Formation
While on maneuvers on the world Damian in 2902 the Ninth drove off a raid by Helmar Valesek's Pirates.
3rd Succession War
In May of 3013 The Ninth conducted a raid on the Federated Suns world Mara. Unfortunately the unit was out smarted by the defending Kell Hounds Mercenary unit who managed to steal the Cadre's JumpShip leaving the Ninth stranded.[1]
Clan Invasion
As of early 3050, the Cadre was stationed on Dieron. [2]
As of 3054, the Cadre was not listed on the DCMS unit deployment table. It may have been destroyed during the Clan Invasion. [3]
