Armor-Piercing Ammo

Description

Armor-Piercing ammunition are slug-thrower rounds with hardened jackets and specially-designed tips to maximize penetration at all ranges. They are also more expensive than normal rounds and do not cause as much damage due to the fact they are less likely to deform upon penetration. AP rounds are a favorite among soldiers fighting against Elementals.[1] In game terms, AP ammunition rolls on the critical hit table everytime it strikes it's target, but with a penalty to the critical roll depending on the type of autocanon used to fire the round. A ton of AP ammo contains half as many shots as standard ammo (rounded down) and they suffer a +1 to hit penalty. AP ammo has no additional effect when it hits Aerospace fighters or Battle Armor. They may only be loaded in standard and light autocanons. [2]
