Brighton's Rangers were a mercenary unit in employ to the Capellan Confederation in the late twenty-ninth century.

History[edit]

Capellan Confederation Chancellor Otto Liao made increased use of mercenary forces, but he specified rigid contractual conditions for charters. Brighton's Rangers broke the conditions of their original contract, prompting the Chancellor to hastily redeploy the Fourteenth Aerospace Regiment to Sax to destroy elements of the Rangers, demonstrating that the charters were enforced by the Chancellor so that mercenaries would fight on his terms and not on theirs.[1]
