The Chainelane Isles are a small deep periphery realm consisting of several worlds, residing in a space 100 light years in diameter and 100 light years core-ward of the Greater Valkyrate. The Isles are home to several small duchies or principalities, each possessing a few worlds. Like the successor states, these neighboring principalities are vying for supremacy and have been fighting constant, Succession War-style combat for years.
Though BattleMech technology is present within the Isles, not one of the Chainelane Isle denizen states are able to manufacture their own army.
