History
The Claymore was an Overlord-class DropShip attached to the Northwind Highlanders' Stirling's Fusiliers regiment as of 3058.[1]
It was lost in the Battle of Wayside (3058).[1]
Operational History
The Claymore had been serving with the Northwind Highlanders for a long time. On its last trip it carried a full battalion of Stirling's Fusiliers to Wayside V. There, it was attacked by Clan Smoke Jaguar fighters and severely damaged, but managed to land and disembark its troops. Once repaired, it was as used to draw a WarShip to the other side of the planet and disembark troops in the "Straits". In the subsequent ground battle it was damaged again and unable to take off, so the Fusiliers stripped it of anything useful and abandoned the ship.[2] The reactor was rigged to explode, and when a team of Elementals boarded the vessel, the explosion killed at least two Points of their number.[3]
