Overview
The Conestoga Transport JumpShip among easiest of humanity's space going vessels that help colonizes the stars. A simple but rugged design, which was designed for short and long hauls between Terra and other systems. These ships were also designed prior to the use Docking Collar, the ship was design use smaller predecessor of the modern DropShip, known as the Dropshuttle.
Boeing Interstellar's engineers had designed the vessel using the schematics of their proposed Cruiser Class Warship which would be later launched 15 years after Conestoga first started operating between the stars in 2310. In synchronous with the ship, the Mingo Class DropShuttles were design to operate with these ships soon after they premiered. These ships utilized technology which would be termed "Primitive" in nature, would fade away as some these ancient vessels were used by the Major Periphery states to fend off the Star League during the Reunification War.
While gone by 2600 in the Inner Sphere, a few examples these ships would linger in Deep Periphery 30th Century, where last functional examples would be scrapped.[1]
Capacities
Designed as colony vessel principally, the Conestoga with eye for capacity and endurance. These 700,000 tons vessels were built for all occasions of capacities needed to settle new world and support the colonists. Design Notes
- The ship is fitted with primitive KF-Drive, which is limited to the 20 Light Year range.
Notes
- The design does note that it does have Solar Sail, however can operate without it.
- The ship is noted in the original description that can be seen as template for primitive jumpship build during the Age of War era[1]
