Davis McCall was born into one of Caledonia's ruling Jacobite families, attending the Highlander BattleMech Academy and joining the Caledonia Home Guard.[3]
Joining the Legion[edit]
McCall joined up with the Gray Death Legion in 3025 on Galatea, in a meeting with Grayson Carlyle and eight other mercenaries that went on to form the original Legion. In 3065, McCall was killed in the Fifteenth Battle of Hesperus II when the cockpit of his Highlander was kicked in fighting against an invading Rakshasa and Guillotine. His death left the Legion leaderless, putting an end to the unit's history.[citation needed]
Battlemechs[edit]
Davis McCall piloted a Rifleman,[4] affectionately known as Bannockburn after the famous battle in medieval Scotland, until it was destroyed during the Helm campaign. He was then able to acquire a Highlander, giving it the same name and piloting it until his death.[5]
