The Gorgon Gal, called "Gorgon" for short in radio traffic, was a Union-class DropShip operating out of Tortuga Prime that brought a pirate raiding force (Costas' Corsairs) to the MacLean Valley on Rentz in the Federated Suns in 3063.
The attack faltered in the face of determined and skillful local resistance that elicited a surrender from Shen Costas. The battered Gorgon Gal suffered a breakdown of its air circulating system, effectively trapping them on Rentz. The ship surrendered to the local defenders independently from Costas' Corsairs.[1] Its fate is not elaborated upon.
