Field Manual: Capellan Confederation identifies both the 1st CDF and the Holdfast Guard as incarnations of Blandford's Grenadiers.
History
Originally a part of the pre-Confederation Tikonov Union Guards, Colonel Harrison Blandford reorganized one of its Grenadier Regiments and added it to Franco Liao's Capellan Defense Force.
