History
Origins
The Kincaid family was a wealthy, well-connected family hailing from Killbourn, very influential in the Terran Hegemony. In the 24th's century, one of his members, Elishia Kincaid had several sons, and he placed high expectations onto the eldest, Charles Kincaid. The father used all the money and influence needed to ensure his son's success. Charles succeeded, becoming a high ranking officer of the Hegemony Armed Forces, and entering on the history books as the first MechWarrior. Ironically, that also doomed him: the rush to accelerate the tests made Charles suffer brain damage due to a defective neurohelmet, which eventually made him unable to pilot. The family carefully hid that, painting it as damage suffered in combat, and the House Cameron also covered it.[2]
