History
CCS Howling was a Sovetskii Soyuz-class heavy cruiser and in 3061 was a part of the Clan Coyote touman; while the Howling had previously been assigned to Zeta Galaxy, at this point in time it was undergoing extensive repairs in the shipyards at Lum.[1]
In late 3072 a small fleet led by the Howling was lurking in the Hellgate system, looking to take advantage of the diminished Clan Snow Raven presence on the world, when Alpha Galaxy of Clan Steel Viper arrived in the system to recharge their fleet's engines. Acting out of panic, the small Coyote fleet attacked and was crushed by the Steel Viper forces; the Howling was lost, and only a single Coyote JumpShip managed to jump away.[2]
