History
Formed 2572 by members of the Illician Order (ancient military brotherhood). They worked for every Star League member state and also for the SDLF for the next 2 centuries. 2 Regiments were destroyed (First and Seventh Illician Rangers) by the final assault of Terra. During the Succession Wars the Lancers were reduced first to half of its orginal strength and in the 3rd Succesion War must sell most of its JumpShip assets for normal operations after a disatrious contract with the CCAF. Since this time they were employed by the AFFC. The High Command assigned them as part of the Capellan March defence network.

A group of Elders selected a officer as leader and give to them the title General. The General can reelect after a 6 year term. The Colonels are also elected by this group. General Brenda Bradley lead the organisation for the last 21 years,
