History

No specific information is known related the past of the Iron Knights prior to 3042. After a string of bad luck the Iron Knights arrived to Westerhand in May 3042 to participate in the 'Mech games hoping to win fame to attrack replacement warriors and equipment and at the same time attract a new employer.

This did not go as planned. During the first week they made enemies of a local Stable the Ilkhwan Stables, which ended with to of their MechWarriors in the hospital after a bar fight. The Iron Knights executed a raid against Ilkhwan Warehouse but were beaten off, but only after killing the Stables stable master. And then as a final insult they decided to challenge the stable to a match in Garringer continent in hopes of gaining the fame they wanted.[1]

The Iron Knights won the fight thanks to the full-scale battles they were still used to. They destroyed the six 'Mechs belonging to Ilhwan Stables, but they didn't look much the winners, loosing several MechWarriors, their commanding officer among them.[2]

The unit was disbanded after this disastrous event.[citation needed]
