John Al-Hawad was a mercenary officer.[1]

He was the commanding officer of The Battle Corps Legion second battalion.
In 3071, when the unit had been in constant combat, facing supply problems, human resources problems (related to drawing on personnel from seventeen nations), Major John Al-Hawad's efforts made the Corps a cohesive combat unit that allowed each member to retain their personal culture, while still having time to served as providing training and indoctrination into the Corps for new recruits for his battalion and full unit.[1]
