Kevin Gurski was a MechWarrior with the Tooth of Ymir which fought during the Word of Blake Jihad.

History

Kevin served with the Tooth of Ymir for an unknown amount of time, as part of Charlie Lance, C Company, under the orders of Lieutenant Charles Farabaugh. He was the one which had served along Charles since both began their career in the Tooth. Due to Charles' habit of puting mixes of music on the waves in combat, the lance was dubbed Cacophony Lance The 28 December 3075, Kevin was with the rest of members of Charlie lance. That day, they were onboard the Tooth of Ymir Firebrand (DropShip), which was about to make landfall on Galatea, to fight the Word of Blake planetary forces. Charles Farabaugh was talking with his lance members, Kevin, Maria Peltergast and Paramar, all on their 'Mechs. Gurski complained about Charles' music, and the others questioned Black Condor's name and Charles' history of how he captured it. Their discussion was interrupted by his commanding officer, Captain Brandon Shadwell, which made Charles to cut off his music, before telling them onto the command post when they landed.

Soon later, Charlie Lance was on the command post, where Major Ivan Petrov informed them of their mission: to infiltrate inside the Blakist lines and destroy an Arrow IV battery ammo depot supposedly with nukes, before the blakists can use them. Despite Petrov's reassuring words about other lances supporting them, the lance knew it was almost a suicide mission, but they obeyed anyway.

After Cacophony began their way, Kevin asked Farabaugh if he had some playlist ready, and Charles put heroic music on the waves on the waves. The lance first find two Blakist scout 'Mechs, but they put them down quickly and easily. Paramar's Chimera was damaged by a pairt of hovercrafts and their mates had to leave him behind, trying to return to the base. Thanks to a Ymir's Tooth air strike, the Cacophony managed to break through blakist forces, though they lost Peltergast's 'Mech. Ironically, Gursky 'Mech, the littlest of the lance, was the last one with Charlie when they arrived to the depot, and while Farabaugh approached the nukes' bunker, Gursky say him goodbye before drawing away two heavy Blakist 'Mechs. His 'Mech was so heavily damaged than is very doubtful than he managed to survive more than a few seconds.[1] Charlie alone managed to bore into the target building and ignite the ammo, saying goodbye by the waves before the final explosion.

Legacy

After Charles' death, the Black Condor's remains were found, and its battleRom recordings proved Charlie and his heroic sacrifice and how this saved countless thousands of Galatea's civilians. In 3122, on Galatea's Museum of the Jihad, was exposed Farabaugh's music data chip, explaining their feat and honoring him and his lance's actions.[2]

Gurski's 'Mech was a little Flea.[3]
