Description

The 'Knox Armored Car' is ancient civilian armored car designed used throughout the Inner Sphere. The vehicle first conceived by the Terran Hegemony, but had spread to rest of the known worlds. The vehicle principally used to transport valuable between banks and other storage sites. Over the centuries of use, various organizations over the centuries. However, the militia forces have attempted press the vehicle into military service as a Armored Personal Carrier. However, these efforts failed due to the vehicle poor cargo capacity and lack of off-road capacities.

The Knox being well known design and highly well used for transports of money and other valuables have made target of criminal elements and bandits. Most noted of these robberies, was accured in 3059 on Alexandria. Known later as the Briggs Armored Car robbery, the Knox under escort by two Commando BattleMechs from the Alexandria Freedom Theater Militia. Criminal discover a shipment of valuable gems being transport. These criminals acquired and used number of Gray Death design Battle Armor and successfully robbed the truck.[1]

The vehicle only mounted weapon is a Machine Gun that is found in the vehicle's turret. The vehicle been given half ton of ammunition feed the gun. The vehicle is protected by a ton of BAR 10 grade Heavy Commercial armor.

The vehicle has a 1.5 ton Cargo capacity with access door in rear of the vehicle.
